Jetour Dashing Service Plan: Coverage & Cost Questions

A service plan is a defined maintenance package, and its written terms need to identify the vehicle, provider and covered work. Jetour South Africa’s current aftersales page lists a regional Dashing service-plan reference. That programme does not establish coverage for a China-sourced export or every used car. Confirm the actual offer before budgeting.

01

Identify the particular plan being offered

Ask who provides the package and which vehicle it applies to. Record the original version, relevant start date and the provider’s reference. A service plan named in a domestic new-car advertisement does not prove that an independently sourced vehicle is eligible. Keep any proposal from the seller separate from a manufacturer or regional distributor’s programme.

The service and parts overview addresses the wider support route. This narrower review concerns the package included or separately sold with the car. Ask for the applicable written terms rather than accepting a screenshot of another owner’s benefit. The buyer needs to know which party has accepted a maintenance commitment for this particular vehicle.

02

Read time and distance limits together

The South African aftersales page lists Dashing/X70 Plus service-plan cover as five years and 75,000 kilometres at the time of this review. Treat that as a labelled regional reference. Confirm the applicable starting point, limits and eligibility in the actual contract; it is not evidence that those benefits accompany every China export or automatically restart for a used buyer.

For a used candidate, request the provider’s permitted confirmation of remaining cover and any transfer conditions. Keep prior service and mileage records with that answer. Do not subtract an advertised limit from an unverified odometer reading and call the result established remaining cover. A plan’s marketing duration and a particular vehicle’s accepted entitlement are different pieces of information.

03

List the scheduled work and exclusions

Ask which tasks and materials are included and how the provider determines the schedule for the actual engine and transmission. Keep routine maintenance separate from fault repairs, wear items, diagnosis and other services unless the terms expressly include them. A statement that servicing is free can leave those categories unresolved and make two proposals appear more similar than they are.

Use the turbo-engine record review to establish existing work and any current maintenance gap. A prepaid plan does not itself certify the candidate’s condition or prove every previous service was completed. If preparation is needed before acceptance, identify that work independently instead of assuming a future package will close all of today’s inspection findings.

04

Confirm where the work can be performed

Identify the provider or network authorised to carry out the covered tasks and the process for obtaining approval or booking. Ask how the intended destination affects eligibility. A dealer name on a regional webpage is useful context, but it should not become a promise that every overseas workshop will perform the same package or obtain every required part.

If another local provider proposes equivalent work, treat that as a separate quote and commitment. Keep currency, available scope and support responsibilities visible. The parts application review helps avoid ordering a generic bundle for different Dashing periods. A maintenance plan is more useful when the responsible workshop can identify the actual vehicle and the tasks it has agreed to perform.

05

Compare the price with an equivalent maintenance scope

Separate a included-package claim from a paid optional plan and from a pay-per-service estimate. Ask for the complete amount, applicable charges, validity and any tasks charged separately. Compare the same schedule and provider scope before deciding whether a package offers useful value. A low headline total may cover fewer tasks or apply only under conditions the buyer cannot meet.

The quotation checklist keeps vehicle price, immediate preparation and future service lines distinct. Do not assume a service-plan amount predicts every maintenance or repair expense over ownership. Where costs are unresolved, leave them conditional and obtain a provider response before describing the package as a complete fixed-cost solution.

06

Keep the accepted plan with the handover record

Retain the applicable terms, vehicle reference, entitlement confirmation and booking or support route. Include the available service timeline and preparation completion evidence. The handover file should let the receiving dealer see what has been purchased, which tasks remain the buyer’s responsibility and who has accepted the continuing commitment.

For multiple cars, check eligibility individually where production, status or history differs. One plan illustration cannot certify the entire batch. If the vehicle is substituted, recheck the entitlement and accepted terms. The finished answer should describe a real package for the identified car, without turning a regional marketing benefit into an unlimited export warranty or a guarantee of every future service cost.
